Bundesliga football to start.

Featured Replies

This evening the German Bundesliga will begin. I'll be watching Dortmund vs Schalke. Empty stadium, players probably giving only 75%, tackling, aerial duals?? Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Yep. Watched that one. They looked like they'd never score if they played till midnight

Apparently fans can use an App on their phone to generate their own personal atmosphere. They can select from a list of crowd noises at appropriate moments.

I'll be watching Dortmund v schalke too.

Visited the city in 2001 for the eufa cup final and noticed the extreme rivalry between the 2 clubs fan base.

Be interesting to see how intense it still is, or isn't in an empty stadium

Just good to see some kind of top professional football I guess. Hope all goes well.

Will be strange... Let's hope the stadium isn't filled with cuddly toys.

Unfortunately, it is something we'll all have to get used to for a looong time. Piped crowd noise may help as will watching your own team......At least I'll have Jurgen to watch and listen to on the touchline!????

Not a Dortmund fan so I gave up at 3-0. Would be better watching a team you actually support. Much, much better with fans and atmosphere of course. Dortmund didn't even bother with big yellow banners in the home end. Better than no football at all.

PPTV HD 36 and Fox Sports showing Wolfsburg v Dortmund game this evening at 20:30. Fox also scheduled to show Gladbach v Leverkusen and Paderborn v Hoffenheim at the same time. Bayern v Frankfurt also on Fox at 23:30.

Might watch that one myself to see if the Havertz hype is legit as I've not seen too much of him up to now.

Well he's started well!

Havertz has got 4 goals in 2 games. Talk of him being priced at 100 Million Euros. Seems to be keen on a move to Bayern.

The Wolfsburg and Bayern matches both piped crowd sound effects continuously. Big improvement for me.

One irritation. Why are the players names at the bottom of the shirt? You can't see who it is who when in close up.

Germany are going to get their season finished before England even restart theirs. Must give them an early advantage for the Euros next summer.

Julian Brandt for Dortmund looks top class, similar to Fernandes at Man Utd.

Yep Havertz is looking very good. Papers say LFC are interested amongst others but I doubt we'll go for both him and Werner, who is widely mentioned as our #1 target. We apparently tried to get Brandt a few years ago but he wanted to stay in Germany.....we bought Salah instead so didn't do too badly.????

Mostly watched the Gladbach game. Thought it was pretty good. Havertz does look class. Liked the fan cutouts in the stadium.

La Liga to start in June too.

Coupla Brits in Schalke's side at 18:30. Kenny (EFC) and Matondo (ex City). Reece Oxford (ex WHU) on the bench for Augsburg,

Some in-demand players on show for Leipzig tonight at 20:30. In addition to Timo Werner; Upamecano and Sabitzer both start.....For LFC fans, Awoniyi (on loan to Mainz) is on the bench and an ex keeper, Gulacsi, starts for Leipzig. An ex Chelsea youngster, Bruma, starts for Mainz.

Mainz's defense looks sleepy.

What defence is that....haven't seen it yet!. Fans are great tho' 3-0 down and still cheering them on!????

Just switched from Fox to BT Sport....no crowd noise??? Must be the TV companies piping it and not the clubs!
