A university in Nakhon Ratchasima has established a committee to investigate a teacher, who has been accused by his wife of raping their daughter and son.

The teacher has denied the accusation.

The incident occurred about a week ago, when the man's wife, who is also a teacher at the same university, accused her husband of sexually assaulting their 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son. Officials subsequently notified the man about the accusation.

A dean of the university announced today (May 19) that a committee has been established to seek the truth.

“The couple will be questioned,” the dean said. “As for now, their classes are on hold as their present mental state is not favourable for teaching. When the investigation is over, the university will take disciplinary action,” he promised.

The police said the case has entered the process of judgement.

The gathering of evidence is expected to take at least two weeks before it can be submitted to the prosecutor.

Yes indeed, but could this be to try and "save face" in a "hiso" establishment (university)?????

The only way to find out if there is any truth to the mother,s charges would be to question the children  and possibly physically examine for signs of rape. The couple are obviously in the process of parting ways, and mothers in such circumstances have been known to tell outrageous lies in order to swing general opinion in their favour ????

Why has this country got a police force if employers do the police work, this is a genuine question, why?

These charges, of a father raping his children, registered with the police has absolutely nothing to do with the university. So why are they involved?

I imagine the only issue here would be if he was found guilty by the police but the 'university committee' to save face decided he wasn't

to me it's just story at this stage ... without any facts or character evaluation one is only guessing.

The point a lot of ppl are making is it's a criminal matter for the police, they should be establishing the facts etc. Seems quite common, I can remember cases of teachers being transferred after child abuse allegations, with no involvement from the police.
