Metal roof/canopy suppliers/fitters?

Featured Replies

I am looking to replace a canopy that is currently with poly-carbonate sheeting on a SS frame. One of the sheets has split and the recent storms have torn a big hole in it. I want to replace all of it with some sort of steel sheeting with some sort of insulation/silver foil to keep it cooler underneath.

Anybody can recommend (or just know) an outlet or fitter that may be able to help? Thai Watsadu stock some possible solutions but I need a guy who knows.......

Ideally I want to use the current SS frame but not sure if that will be possible.

What is your Location?

I know of several outlets and a fitter in Pattaya Area.

Central/north Pattaya just off 3rd Road - I deliberately didn't give a location as happy to travel to find the right outlet - eg Darkside or Jomtien location. Appreciate some fitters may not want to go too far.

If the existing frame is still sturdy, then you'll save a small fortune by keeping it.

The sheet metal roof that you discribe can be bought anywhere locally, and can be pressed and rolled out in just about any exact length.

Its not a difficult job, and just about any decent work man should be able to fit it for you.

If you measure your area to be covered, and go along to the local sheet metal workshop, they can give you a price, and maybe arrange installation.

You see these workshops all the time.

They have small sample tin roof displays outside.

Unfortunately this is what I could not find/see Saturday when I went to look along Suk - all the way to SCG Global and back. Not easy when driving yourself and could easily have missed them. Hence the reason for asking -  before I make a trip up and down Thrappasit.

It's also not a big job to install yourself, all that secures it will be self tappers, if you have a drill / step ladder off you go.

Unfortunately it is a curved frame down to viciously barbed wall spikes so I am planning to let someone else take that risk  - if it is possible to install on the current frame.

Topt,

The best outlet for this kind of Sheeting that you are looking for is not so far from your House.

Take a ride out to Sukumvit, and then head toward the Route 36 Interchange.

Hang a right onto the 36

Go down about 2 Km or so, and on the RIGHT look for a Metal Sheet Factory.

When you see it you will have to U-turn and go back to the place.

This place has different gauges of metal thickness, different patterns all the fixings Etc AND a good price ( best I could find ). They also produce to length so you have little wastage, and you pay per Metre

Sorry cant remember their name or Tel Number, but really easy to find.

If you want a fixer PM me, and I will try to help you out.
