renting a car in thailand

Featured Replies

Can someone rent a car say in Isaan  (Buriram) and drive it to Chiang Mai and drop it off there? I tried emailing expat auto in Buriram awhile ago to inquired about this but no one ever got back to me. I would like to eventually drive back to Chiang Mai for Isaan instead of taking a bus. Any info would be appreciated.

You will need to search the online rental companies. Some will quote for a different drop off point

Just call Hertz or Avis, they sort it out for You. Not saying others are no good but their so user friendly and come to You.

How can anyone, except the rental company you plan to use, give you the answer to that if the information is not on the websites?   Haven't you called the company to ask them?

To do a 'Hire it here' 'Leave it there' deal you'll need to use a large company that has depots all over Thailand. There will be an extra fee. Argus car hire website might be helpful.
