The red additional frame is ugly. ????

If the structures concrete posts start to show movement at GL then round posts the same colour would still leave it aesthetically pleasing, no need for the horizontal one.

    The huge problem with that structure is that it will break sooner rather than later. Concrete is very strong in compression but weak on a stretching load. You are totally reliant on the reinforcement

    Thats why I asked how it is anchored to the posts, to me it looks like once weight is ontop it will break the anchor points and pivot forward on the posts.

Again, I think hanging planters on the back of each rafter will counter-balance it nicely..........

as i said, it is not perfect. but better ugly (your worlds) and safe than sorry ...

(btw. the red colour on the picture is only for to make it visible for the op)

 

from the picture it is hard to see, maybe the construction can be symmetric, straight forward

and can be kept very simple. the additional steel construction has to be black. the construction

would be hardly visual because of the many plants hanging on the whole construction ...

 

on the other hand 2 round posts (with footing) somewhere in the no mans land, that was maybe not

the idea of the ambitions design ... but maybe that is only the way i see it ...

Yeah gather that just giving you a dig ???? but still the horizontal beam is not required.
