equipped with a UV plastic face shield to ward off Covid-19

Can someone please explain how a face shield wards of Covid-19 ... surely the way the virus spreads would make it easy to creep under and around the sides of the shield ... or?

I quite like those. Would be good to wear while using the Kärcher to avoid the splashes or other similar gardening work.

Thais will probably use these as motocy helmets.

Sneezing and coughing. It's very effective in blocking the droplets - you can see them on the inside after you spit 'em out. They wear them in hospital settings, too. Best coupled with a N95 mask.

face shield  keeps droplets inside and  shield  eyes.  plus not so easy to rub your face.  1 store here  has all employees wearing them.

How to look a complete idiot in a baseball hat with a piece of plastic attached, hmm, might get a few takers for this unfortunately.

...and then wear it backwards for fashion?

Abseiling is sliding DOWN a rope.

So unless you are standing on you head ...

Why would this store do that?a. to protect customers and staff.

                                            b. to give customers the false sense of safety so they will come and buy

and swallow whatever it is your selling?

It's to target the youngest generation. When they grow up, they will teach their children to wear a mask and not make human contact. It's happening in schools around the world right now.
