Who has been to the temple ruins at the very top of Doi Saket/Doi Pui?

Featured Replies

After reaching the top, continue for 50 meters, outer side of the 180 degrees turn left there's a rough path, after 100 metres you find the ruins. A cool an peaceful place on 1600 metres with only the sound of tree frogs. When you go back to the road and continue the path down you end up at Hui Thog Tao lake with floating picknic huts.

Doi Saket/Doi Pui???

a bit far apart unless you have legs 35 kilometers long

Near Doi Suthep summit, 'San Goo'. (San Ku on google maps), no easy route to HTT lake from there.

Or are you talking about the Princess Sala, just down from the summit of Doi Pui?

Not ancient at all ..... about 20-30 years old.

I think you mean Doi Suthep summit ????

Of course he does.

The reference to "Hui Thog Tao" confirms it.

He doesn't say it's an easy route.  Pretty easy on a MTB if you keep to the dirt road.

Lol Huay Thung Tao.

That was one of my favourite escapes in CM. The back route up and down the mountain. Great fun and free entry to the lake.

A map or link?  Can do this on motobike?

last time I went past Phuping and Hill tribe the road was AWFUL --pothole city

Didn't happen to bump in to Julie Andrews up there by any chance?

Guys...you have never been to the top of doi saket?

it’s the third floor of the downtown courthouse....

There are a few of them I have run across.

Go up above/past the palace and at the 3 way take the right hand turn and a couple of clicks on right side is path to some old stupa's. I think its after view point but before campground.

Hey, I'm thinking of visiting the Hmong tourist trap at the top there. I've got a Nissan March with three cylinders. Is this too much of a ordeal for my tiny car? Thanks, guys.
