Internet to my orchard

Hello,

 

I would like to build a little house and move to my family fruit orchard. The only problem is that I need to internet there, high speed, and the closest 'unit' is 800 meters. Is there a service that can pull a cable from that far to my house and will the internet work properly?

get your router in the closest unit  take the antenna swap it out for one with a cable set up the coffee can point it at your location of choice

I you call your Internet provider, they can do it. 800 meter is nothing. They will charge you for it, though.

I live 350 meters from the road.  Had a TOT wire line to the house.  When TOT finally brought fiber to the neighborhood, I asked at the office if they could bring a line down.  No problem.....cable, router, installation and testing.....no charge.  Since then, they've offered a upgraded router and faster service....again for the same 500 Baht a month

Fibre is good for many kilometers, failing that all the big providers offer a WiMax type solution (baby dish pointing at a mobile tower), last ditch would be mobile phone data.

 

Talk to whoever's name is on the "unit" first.

OK thanks guys, AIS offers a 4G wifi box and the area is well covered. A neighbor has it and his internet is about 30Mbs. It seems that this has actually ended the Wimax solution because it was already obsolete. With 5G we will likely not need fiber too soon in the future.
