TRUEonline: Anyone experiencing speed issues to Europe?

Featured Replies

Hi,

The last 2 or 3 evening/nights I have been experiencing major issues when downloading from servers in Europe. During the day, depending on location the dl was somewhere between 75 - 120 Mbps. The last few evenings, however, saw the dl speed go down to a trickle of less than 1Mbps when connecting to servers in Germany and the UK. The < 1 Mbps speeds were recorded at the same time that I connect to the US, Japan or Australia at > 50 Mbps. Is anyone else experiencing slow speeds to EU servers at the moment? Informed True about this but have to wait and see what their excuse will be.

I hope it is only a short hiccup .... fingers crossed.

Just checked, speeds on TRUE (bkk to UK/De) ~200-300Mbps (with a vpn) on 300/100 fiber.

Are your downloads routed thru a vpn tunnel?

OP (this doesn't really help you) it is not unusual for me to have very slow speeds with True Online especially in the evening. Internally in Thailand the measurements are fine but to UK especially it is <deleted> poor often.

Since the speed they offer is measured against Thailand servers I have just accepted it only because it rarely is a big problem for me - but i don't tend to livestream/download large files etc.

package 100/100 fibre and using a VPN often worse for me.
