regedit Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Anyone used any of the many repair kits available to buy online here ? Reviews are in Thai and google translation isn’t that great. Appreciate any recommendations. Ideally would take it somewhere in Pattaya to have done but no-one seems to want to repair these days. Small chip, just want to stop it spreading before replacing later.
Lacessit Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 You may be better off going onto the eBay Australia site and getting it posted to you. Lazada usually has reasonable translations.
Sam Lin Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 I ordered a kit off Lazada for a very small spider crack. While not perfect, it made the chip vanish in all but direct sunlight at specific angles. Well worth the few hundred thb it cost.
DaRoadrunner Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Shop charged me 1000 Bats to fix one many years ago. 90% invisible repair. They have the professional vacuum equipment that you are not going to get from an online kit. How good those kits are I don't know. If you get one, please post its brand name, cost and efficacy.... er yeah, I have another chip! Worth it though, as it's reckoned to help stop a chip becoming a big crack.
TimeMachine Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 I recommend shooting some hot air from inside to help the flow of the liquid. On top of the usual instructions. I seen a few on youtube do it and feel it would help.
