Offenders always seem to be left on their own on the back of a pick up. Saw a falang being driven along Beach Rd the other day in this mode.

Police made a recent arrest at my condo complex and a dozen police officers attended the scene yet the perp was driven away unescorted on the back of a pickup. Must be a Thai thing.

Some of the plastic liner trays that go in the back of pick-ups usually have large metal loops to secure rope to. Even without the plastic liner, I'm sure someone could fabricate a closed loop.

A handcuff on one wrist and the other handcuff on the metal loop would prevent them doing a runner.

Wonder who gave him the work?

Sure not a Thai employer, they would not do that....leaves a farang having him work.

You mean before he trips over while handcuffed and falls in front of a speeding vehicle?

I'm sure the police would put that down as suicide.

In the US it would be a COVID death.

The disadvantage of this mode of transport is when said vehicle has an accident

I take your point. The arrestee's head could smash the rear windscreen of the cab.

Perhaps a large cable tie around the neck and through the liner metal loop then.

An excellent suggestion there. That incorporates the Thai Health & Safety at Work procedure too.

what about the report months ago......when a raid was carried out WALKING STREET.....and they found NO EVIDENCE of prostitution ????!!!

It's an Elf and Safety issue if he is handcuffed in the back of a truck and it's involved in a accident could be classed as suicide

Or the reported 'suicide' where the victim shot himself then removed the gun from the scene!
