Hi there. I'm looking for some useful to do while my young child is in school. I'm thinking about enrolling myself in a degree program at Payap University. Do you guys know what an average schedule looks like for a Bachelor's program? How many hours per week do they study? How many times a week do they meet?

According to their website, it doesn't look like Payap is as flexible as universities in the U.S. where you can pursue a B. A. while living off-campus and with a reduced course load. https://ic.payap.ac.th/

 

You may wish to consider their highly regarded Intensive Thai Language course,  https://inter.payap.ac.th/certificate-programs/intensive-thai/  or enrolling in some of their adult education courses in their Lifelong Learning Program  https://www.lllpayap.com/  which does appeal primarily to retired expats, but is open to all ages, of course.

Thank you for the advice, Nancy. I’d love to learn Thai too. On the other hand, it would be the most beneficial for me to finally get a degree. 

I knew a guy, who went there on the GI Bill and studied Thai.  Been five years.  I think he felt a little dumb in the sailor suit he had to wear..but was fine with the rest..and enjoying his 1400 dollar per month stipend from Uncle Sam.  Also knew a farang girl in the CMU Nursing BNS program..she didn't have to live on campus.  Perhaps consider an international business program.

In 1994, I and ten others studied at Chiang Mai University for one year through the University of Wisconsin, working toward the completion of requirements for bachelor degrees.  The program was totally independent study with consultation and monitoring by instructors at CMU.  Credits earned were transferred back to Wisconsin.
