Just now I found that the thermal fuse had blown on my Hatari model HE-S16M6.

The value written on it says 145°C / 2A

Are these available to buy?

Has anyone replaced it?

Any complications?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

They don't pop for no reason.

Complication after replacing would be the issue happening again if the source of the problem isn't resolved.

Is the fan spinning freely? Do the wiring look and -smell- burned?

Better to get the motor checked first and then the replacing the fuse.

Is the fan spinning freely? - Yes

Do the wiring look and -smell- burned? - It looks good and clean. No smell at all.

Thank you.

Thai Lazada offers 5 x 145°C thermal blows for 89 Baht. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/2-a-250v-145-thermo-fuse-thermal-fuse-thermal-cutoff-fuse-145-250-2a-hatari-i404242927-s784258655.html

The fuse might be old age tired and decided to call it a day. Replace and see how it goes.

If overheating has opened the fuse then I would wild guess one of the following -- low supply voltage / out of spec start run capacitor / blocked ventilation / excessive load / damaged windings

Thank you very much for the link. Good idea. Replace one and see how it goes.

(It looks like the identical part)

Finally found the time and inclination ???? to do the job!

Thank you Gentlemen for all your input.

It was quite easy. Only the plastic covers needed removal - not the motor assembly.

As an ex-techi, satisfaction gained by a job done!
