Firefox latest update not loading properly

Featured Replies

I ask Firefox to notify me of available updates.
Previous update June 10 77.0.1  no problem, July 6 78.0.2 loading problems, July 10 78.0.2 more loading problems.

If I try and close it doesn't and I have to keep trying until it does.
It is terribly slow and often doesn't load at all.   Trying to close is also a problem.

Anyone else had same issues ?    Can I go back to a previous version and if so how please ?

( Yes WiFi was terrible locally especially with overload during lockdown, hasn't changed much even though children have gone back to school ).
It's an area where power outages / drops, for whatever reason ( repair, rain, storm, big bangs ) are fairly common.

Has only just asked me today to update to 78.0.2 - did so quickly and without problems

Just done the update after seeing your post, installed OK no problems

OP - How can I uninstall previous update - go back to the earlier version ?

I use the FF portable apps version.  Updated today (manually) and so far so good.

I've used FF many years (non-portable) and every so often something goes sideways in the profile directory, forcing me to start clean.  It is no longer my primary browser.
