Hi sorry if this has been posted before i did search and did not find any results.
Regarding the 18,600 income it quotes
"You and your partner must have a combined income of at least £18,600 a year"
"You’ve worked with the same employer earning £18,600 or more for 6 months or longer"

Does this mean i can work for 6 months earning 9,800 (on track to earn 18,600) and still apply for the visa or do i need to show evidence of me earning the full 18,600?
Many Thanks

Your "annualised" salary is worked out on your income from employment during the 6 months prior to the date of application.  BUT, it also depends on whether you are in salaried employment (for instance being paid an annual salary) or non-salaried employment (for instance being paid an hourly rate) as the calculations are slightly different.  It's a little bit complicated, and you might want to get professional advice if you are unsure.

The "you and your partner" bit is only relevant if your partner is already in the UK and seeking further leave to remain. You cannot use her income if she is outside the UK and applying for a settlement visa to enter the UK.

There is a pinned thread on settlement visas at the top of the page.

I am hourly paid. I simply used 6 months of pay slips and a letter from my employers stating my total annual salary and that the pay slips were original. Not difficult at all. I just followed the guidelines on UKVI website.
