webfact Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Prince of Songkhla University students rally against govt, chancellor By THE NATION Students and activists held a rally on Thursday (July 23) in the Pattani campus of Prince of Songkhla University to make demands of the government and to criticise the university’s chancellor. Members of the Free Youth group also joined the rally, which had been organised by students from the political science faculty. Like previous rallies, this one too called on the government to dissolve Parliament, stop intimidating people and amend the Constitution. The students also slammed their chancellor Niwat Keawpradub for prohibiting students from using any of the university’s five campuses to hold a protest. His reason was that gatherings were not allowed due to Covid-19 and the country’s state of emergency. Students, however, slammed the university for not being prepared to hold online classes. The protesters also demanded that the Cabinet resolution to establish the Jana industrial estate be scrapped until a public hearing is held. hotchilli Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 It's starting to warm up... one day [when the emergency decree is dropped] they might get together and have a mass protest in the capital.. I'd love to see the look on the PM's face on what to do with hundreds of thousands of students that he can't intimidate, lock-up, control or shoot ! 1
sammieuk1 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Some SM posts from yesterday of the burning of photos of Prayut and Prawit was quite amusing although just wondering why you would have them in the first place???? 1

Different times... this is a PM who said he was for the people of Thailand and that was going to take care of the poor and become more democratic.. would look odd if he started civil war!
