Thanks a bunch! Drug dealer leaves wife to carry the can - 20,000 Ya Ba seized

 

 

A drug dealer in Hat Yai, Songkhla in southern Thailand got wise to a police drugs' raid at his house and ran off just moments before officers arrived. 

 

Left to carry the can was Somphop's wife Kittima, 22, who was arrested. 

 

She was having her "khao tom" (boiled rice with condiments) dinner when the cops arrived. 

 

An informant had told them that the house was visited by youth in the area and drugs were there. 

 

A total of 20,004 Ya Ba pills (methamphetamine mixed with caffeine) were seized along with 28 grams of "ice" (crystal meth).

 

Kittima said that all the drugs belonged to her husband Somphop who had run off into the woods moments before the police arrived.

 

She explained that he had received a delivery of 100,000 tablets and normally would pass on the whole batch to customers quickly.

 

But it had been raining so not all of the consignment had been delivered yet.

 

She also explained that previously she was the girlfriend of Somphop's son. But after he was jailed on a drugs' charge she hooked up with his father and they had been together about a year.

 

Somphop had also been in prison for drugs and got out a month ago and returned to dealing. 

 

The hunt is on for Somphop, reported Channel 7 TV news.
