USA or China?... Who Would Thailand Back In War??

Featured Replies

The question is in the title basically.

If there was a war between China and the USA, which side would Thailand likely come down on, or would they remain neutral? Bearing in mind that even allowing the US to use a base in Thailand, puts them immediately as allies to the USA.

For the sake of hypothesis, let's just keep actual allies out of it, because i can't see many countries wanting a part in this, especially regarding on the side of the US, because they will likely know that would drag in Russia on the side of China, then we have WW3.

Their best move would be to stay neutral.....

China, at best, is a regional power geared more to defending, ill equipped to fight a global war....

Thailand has nothing to gain by committing, other than it's own destruction or forced colonization by China.....

Let me rephrase this: when there is a war between China and the USA...

And yes, Thailand should better stay neutral, which I think they will.

Cambodia is becoming a de facto Chinese ally, while the Philippines are a US ally, and that could cost them dearly, if the conflict doesn't remain contained to the South China Sea, which is the most likely outcome (hopefully).

Um, I thought there was a war atm, China allegedly creating Covid 19 and sending it to the US and elsewhere.

China 1, USA 0, where Thailand fits into this, the justy is still out.
