Video: Schoolkids and their teacher take matters into their own hands to repair potholes

A Facebook post on a group for Phetchabun people featured a video of a teacher at a school who took ten students to repair potholes in the Nam Rorn sub-district of Wichian Buri.

The video showed children hammering filler back into the huge number of dangerous holes.

Sanook reporters went up to the north east and met teacher Montree, 33, who with the help of the students decided to take matters into their own hands.

The local authority have proved to be useless.

There are reckoned to be 200 potholes along the road that are highly dangerous for the hundreds of school children that use it daily.

Locals called for the authorities to help them out with some repairs of their own.

That´s not anything that raises any eyebrows here. However, it is truly disgusting behaviour of the authorities.

Good community effort, but it is appalling that students loose valuable learning time, and what if an accident occurs to one of the students?

The local authority have proved to be useless.

I couldn't have formulated it better.
What happens to the other 147 potholes?

Obviously no member of a certain family visiting there soon or the roads would be repaired, pictures festooned among the streetlamps and flags flying....

Wished i had this school on the road that leads to our soi, holes appear every rainy season!
