I searched for how to install the LINE app on my Raspberry Pi 4 and found that it now is available as a Chrome extension.  That is much easier than jumping through hoops to make the Windows version run on Raspbian.

Wife and I are currently in ASQ and since SWMBO is a UTube afficionado/addict I needed a quick+dirty unit for browsing during our imprisonment.  The RPi4 is surprisingly adequate as a desktop stand-in especially now that booting and running from an SSD is easily accomplished.

Our parole is scheduled for Oct. 7.

Not sure about today, but when I installed Line on Windows, I had to

- have line on my phone

- verify my email address in line app

- receive a security code in the app when I logged into Windows version for the first time.

So, no standalone Line on Windows and nothing new

You have something against a social media communications company being able to authenticate new accounts (tying their creation to a verified phone number)? I prefer this to having a zillion fake accounts online trying to bombard me with sales pitches or political ads.

What the OP posted was an alternative to using the Windows APP (along with Windows) on a Raspberry Pi environment device. No, the app (or extension) doesn't let you create a new separate account ...see above.
