Crime Phitsanulok: Ex-Soldier Shoots Ex-Wife’s New Partner Dead in Jealous Rage

A domestic incident unfolded in Phitsanulok province, when a former soldier fatally shot the new partner of his ex-wife in a jealous rage after a failed reconciliation attempt. Police from Wat Bot Police Station, along with rescue volunteers from Burapha Foundation, responded to reports of a fatal shooting around 20:00 on 2 July, at a residence in Ban Nakharm, Moo 1, Ban Yang subdistrict, Wat Bot district. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 41-year-old Mr. Suriya, the homeowner, lying dead outside the house with gunshot wounds. An initial investigation revealed that the suspected shooter was a former military serviceman, had previously been in a relationship with Mr. Suriya’s partner. According to police, the gunman had visited the house in an attempt to reconcile with his former partner. However, upon discovering that she was not home, he became enraged. In a fit of jealousy and anger, he turned his weapon on Mr. Suriya and shot him before fleeing the scene. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and are gathering additional evidence and witness testimonies to support the investigation.
