For western and Thai food - Pui Relax Choengmon. (Great lamb shank 260 baht)

Pizza and Italian Pecore Nere Choengmon.

Very good Thai and seafood Krua Choengmon (behind 7/11)

Great steak and others Le Cote de Bouef Bangrak

English fish and chips - Shakespeare pub Bangrak.

Only 'real' tapas that I have found - Barcelona Fisherman's village.

Khao Hom for Thai food (if you can get in) Bangrak. Very popular with Bangkokians at the moment.

Mexican 'fusion' and Thai - Casa Luna Bangrak

King of Bread seems to be the most popular place for breakfast and lunch. Ring road near Fisherman's traffic lights. Corner of Soi Sunday.

All currently open

i wondered why Khao Hom always seemed to be packed  lately.

Friends recommend Treehouse restaurant in Meanam to me but I have not been there for probably 10 years or so.

It is just quite a way from where I live/work.

Quite a few Thais down from Bangkok say that it is good.

I have been reading throughout the post and have taken note of various restaurants. Thank you very much to all.

What I see is that there is no publication from this year. Any news to keep in mind?

Update on my previous list.

KOB on the Beach in Bangrak. Very good.

Antica Locanda in Bangrak - very good. My favourite Italian restaurant for almost 20 years.

Olivers Steakhouse in Bangrak is good.

Chez Francois in Fisherman's village - best food in the village. Must book.

From the above post, all still very good except - Casa Luna is now closed.

I have not tried it but a lot of people say that the Shakespeare pub does good food. Anyone know if they still do their famous Sunday lunches?

Also just past Chez François near Fisherman' village, same side, almost at the corner is an old chicken and rice shop. Cheap and cheerful. Supposedly one of the oldest restaurants in Samui.

Yes they do. You have to book.

I will send you a PM with Joe's number.

He also delivers now and makes some things that are sold in Bangrak Minimart. (Sausage rolls, crumpets etc)

Delivery to Bangrak, Choengmon and Plai Laem. He may go further!
