A pickup travelling at high speed in Nakhon Pathom province on Saturday crashed into 10 electricity posts, but the driver miraculously cheated death.

Bang Len Police Station was notified of the accident at 3.20pm and sent the officers to investigate the scene on Bang Len - Don Toom Road.

They found the driver trapped in the vehicle and contacted rescue volunteers and a paramedic team from Bang Len Hospital to help him out.

Nitikan Sirpinpao, 19, was severely injured on his right leg. He was immediately sent to the hospital.

Pramote Boonmuan, director of Nakhon Pathom’s Provincial Electricity Authority, said that 50-60 households would have no electricity because of the damage to electrical equipment from the accident.

He crashed into one pole which collapsed taking the other 9 down in a domino effect due to the weight of the cables...apparently 1 pole is worth 100,000 baht  so he has a rather large bill from the electric company on the way !!

Video was on Thairath TV yesterday morning.

Wow , 10 posts ... did he fell 'em all ...?

That would be an impossible thing to do for just one pickup truck ... It would need a train or a very big truck to do that ...

Need to be really drunk and at super high speed to damage 10 posts , nearly impossible , given the fact that the posts are at least 10 - 15 mtrs away from each other ... would like to see that on video ...

Where I come from 10 is a strike in ten pin bowling.

I’m surmising that it’s just poor quality reporting. Only guessing here but the truck probably hit one post,& the rest were felled by domino effect because of poor quality installation of the posts

By translation error?

Bet he smashed one and this one tore down the others? (domino)

A video on Thairath website shows the domino effect.

One pole coming down quickly, others following with some delay without any vehicle colliding.

The dash cam car luckily escaped being touched by a high voltage line.

When the first pole came down the weight caused all the other polls to fall.

Since he only hit one pole will have have to pay for all those that followed?
