Someone should tell these clowns that farrang will chip their dog but never themselves or family. As nice as Thailand is it is not the be all the government thinks it is . Since the change of government it is clear to many long stayers they are not really wanted here as shown by the constant immigration rules and comments from some government ministers. A shame they have no good ideas that include treating foreigners with respect or show them the smiles that used to the norm. but no more. As for demanding millions in bank accounts and ideas about buying real estate in order to get a visa, They will never get tourists or long stay visitors with all the nonsense they come up with. Perhaps if they read what we all have say on Thai visa forums they would learn something

This is another comedy of beaurocrats trying to outdo each other with the magic solution. Tourists aren't going to adhere to any of those restrictions, being told where to go,being followed by a goon squad, not to mention 'corruption' by the goons who follow you.Nope, back to drawing boards. I for one like to go to out of the way places in Thailand, not BK. or Pattaya etc.they are sewerage pits.

:cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

There's the making of a song in that sentence.

The version in Thai could be something about leading the albino buffalo.  The words for rope and albino rhyme.

They will have to stick to routes where other Thai people do not go. They must not veer off course at all.

These whack jobs have listened to Hotel California one too many times

So what is the "routes where other Thai people do not go" called? Falang Road? & only use Kwaai Bridge?

Maybe they can make a deal with North Korea and open a "travel bubble". Even the Chinese would not put up with this nonsense, but maybe the North Koreans would.

There should be a gag order on government officials until they come up with something intelligent to say about this subject.

Why don't we hear about plans to educate the masses and teach better English and pick up the trash and teach people about littering and safe driving?

Oh silly farang ideas will never work, interfering with "culture"

Hey in just over a month it will be mid November. When does the

high season start? 45 days will be nearly December, and if Thailand

government and TAT and all the guys and gals do not have their

acts together, it will be 2021, the year of a hope of a vaccine, a year

of a hope that at least 200 thousand people will come to Thailand for

the Winter of 2021/2022. I am beginning to think that the Winter of

2020/2021 will be a complete write off, and barely any real tourists

will come to visit Thailand, the amazing country that was..

Geezer

*They will have to be followed around 24/7 by Covid minders to ensure they don't stray and are healthy

*Go where there are no Thais - what about restaurants, shops etc. run by Thais? Replace them with foreign workers or bar foreigners from entering these shops?

*Covid-minders - new job opportunities for the unemployed and ex-go-go bargirls.

Thai authorities - you think they are stupid. Then they open their mouths, and remove all doubts.
