Police set up 21 checkpoints to deal with Oct 14 political rally

The Metropolitan Police Bureau has set up 21 checkpoints throughout Bangkok to deal with the political rally and other crimes from 8am on October 13 to midnight of October 16.

 

The 21 police checkpoints are:

 

1. Samsen Road in front of Supreme Complex department store

 

2. Phetchaburi Road in front of Chevrolet Service Centre (Ratchathewi)

 

3. Mahachai Road near Wat Ratchanadda

 

4. Foot of Phra Pinklao Bridge

 

5. Foot of Krung Thon Bridge

 

6. Prachachuen Road near the Prachachuen intersection

 

7. Pradit Manutham Road under Lat Phrao expressway

 

8. Rama IX Road at the entrance of Rama IX Soi 46

 

9. Ratchada Road near the Klong Toei intersection

 

10. Prajadhipok Road near Phra Phuttha Yodfa and Phra Pok Klao Bridges

 

11. Phaholyothin Road at the entrance of Soi Phaholyothin 52

 

12. Suwinthawong Road near the Mahanakorn intersection

 

13. Lat Krabang Road near the Suvarnabhumi Airport intersection

 

14. Sukhumvit Road at the entrance of Soi Sukhumvit 70

 

15. Suksawat Road at U-turn in front of Wat Son

 

16. Rama II Road in front of PTT gas station

 

17. Petchkasem Road in front of Southeast Asia University

 

18. Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road at the entrance of Soi Vibhavadi-Rangsit 44

 

19. Don Mueang tollway

 

20. Chalong Rat expressway at Chatuchot checkpoint

 

21. Burapha Withi expressway at Bang Chak checkpoint

the fatty watch man said "" Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan told reporters that he did not expect huge turnout.

“We’re prepared and not worried,” he said. “I think we can handle it.”

Looks like the plastic police have started arresting people on trumped up charges, ie: A certain persons motorcade was due to pass victory monument, response was to arrest them.

Sweet of them to post up all the roads for any troublemakers to avoid... 

 

Dollars to donuts someone has already put them into Google Maps and it's gone viral.

Well if you stop every protester from entering Bangkok, you sure will have a low turn out.

He was right, if you block everyone from entering, then there isn't anything to handle

probably won't be much of a turn out anyway with the daily rain and folks are to busy getting on with their daily lives.  imo  

but good luck to them anyway.

These young guys are the future of Thailand but the way they are looking at it there will be no future, Lots of these guys cant afford to continue their education I watched a couple of videos on YT they are not stupid they can see the gap getting bigger between the rich and poor their demands make a lot of sense, Good Luck and stay safe

I think the end of check points was only in BKK to prevent tailbacks.
