I agree.  Now if you can just get the religious zealots on board with tolerance.  That seems to be directly at odds with their belief system.

Religious respect and tolerance must go both ways and not just one way.

I still see some religious fanatics criticizing other religions on Youtube and who were the ones who destroyed Buddhist statues in Afghanistan, Pakistan etc?

I can name these people but I don't think the forum allows me to do that.

Good to see this has been reported, rather than swept under the carpet

  • Multiculturalism is a disaster. Globalists are pushing this agenda all over the world.

  • Remember….we must learn to use the correct terminology.   This wasn’t an outrageous, obscene, cold-blooded, deranged, psychotic murder….it was an emblematic example of vibrant cultural diver

I googled : "concrete measures by France against Muslim fundamentalists"

in English, French & Dutch.

Didn't find anything concrete.

Care to point me in the right direction?

What is a Burial Vault or Outer Burial ContainterHere's a good start, concrete coffins.

Try doing some research before posting. France has been one of the more active countries with confronting Islamists both domestically and overseas.

Reminds me of an old saying...

"You can take folk out of the jungle, but you cannot take the jungle out of them"....

This case shows just that...

I think you are agreeing with me but not sure?  Of course religious fanatics, or as I called them, zealots, don’t have ANY tolerance for any other beliefs because they are brainwashed those are all wrong, evil, from the devil, from the infidels, etc ...so I am not sure to whom you refer when you say tolerance must go both ways??  Non religious people are generally tolerant of others.  Religious people, less so, or not at all and they are very interested in controlling the behavior of strangers.

Im not really sure we should RESPECT these fanatics, actually I believe the most we should do is feel sorry for them and then ignore them.  They have no place in modern times.  Therefore tolerance is the most I can gather up for them, but never true respect.

Why do muslims get so upset over this well upset so they kill people isn't that against any religion to kill someone, people have the right to express how they feel about anything you see all types of religions get mocked what's so different about the Prophet Mohammed

A police source said that witnesses had heard the attacker shout "Allahu Akbar", or "God is Greatest".

We want to know what role the parents and their children  played since the beginning, that led to this killing in the name of their relIgion, in a non Muslim country.

They follow his example, he had two girls sentenced to death for singing a satirical song about him, one was executed and one escaped. So satirical cartoons have to have the same response in their eyes as good Muslims. We ought to be able to poke fun at an illiterate 7th century caravan robber, slave owner and child abuser without being murdered of course,

I've had several Muslims try to persuade me theirs is a religion of peace and love, yeah right.

Don't know why you would think that.

The bible clearly states 'Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" ...... and that's just one death threat of many.

If you read 'Leviticus', they even want to kill you for planting two different crops in one field.

its  not  occurring daily

There have been at least 37,921 lethal Islamic attacks since 9/11 - just under 7,000 days.  That's roughly 5 1/2 per day.  So, you're right, it's not occurring daily:  it's occurring multiple times every day.

Personally I think it is time to take the gloves off. Also I do not understand waves of refugees who turn up as single males between the ages of 19 and 45. Limit asylum to women and young children. Send single men back to the war zones and let them fight in their own civil wars.

Another great advert for multiculturalism.

Another great advert for the religion of peace.

Macron is probably loading his extended family onto a dinghy headed to Dover as we speak.

French court judges are lefties, prisons are filled to the brim. The ratio should be 2 inmates per cell, we have reached a state of 5 inmates per cell. It tells you the state of disarray of France.

As usual, the actions of the extreme Islamists ends up causing more damage to the religion and it's people. I understand Muslims get upset when they see images of Muhammad but Buddhists also get upset seeing Buddha being used for decoration. It's the response from the extreme elements that is worrying.

I don't have any problem with the vast majority of Muslims. I have close Muslims friends who have integrated to western society. They have not been happy with any of the terrorist attacks either.

Which is why we should have sent them all back to their sh!tholes as Trump said a while back.

Now it's too late, they have been born in France, they acquired the nationality, the right to live and reside in France (and it's not just France by the way, try Brussels, Belgium) and there's very little that can be done.

It's Europe as a whole.....☹️

This, a billion times, THIS. They are not refugees, they are young males between the age of 13 to 45 even, body abled to carry attacks, they are marching onto Europe, this is a declaration of war.

Europeans might be thinking we are in 2020, for the muslims however they still are living in 1408 (when we beat them and they had to turn back to Africa), to them nothing has changed at all, this is simply put; the "second round".

The elites in the West are doing everything in their power to prevent nationalist uprisings. When the dam inevitably breaks and we see genuine nationalist parties take control they are going to redefine citizenship to have a blood connections and the non-French ethnicities will be deported by force.

Though there are hundreds of millions of peace loving, kind hearted, hard working Muslims all over the world, there are also alot of incredibly ignorant souls, who are likely not religious at all, and claim otherwise, to behave in an extreme manner, and promote their hatred of humanity. And there are alot of people who consider themselves religious, but other than daily prayers, they do nothing at all, to demonstrate the tenets of their faith. All extremism should not, and cannot be tolerated by society. All societies. Except the despot ones like Saudi. France is doing a decent job in fighting this. Unfortunately, they have a large population of nut job extremists to contend with.

As far as religious prohibitions go, they are fairly inane, most of them. Taking offense to such small perceived slights is not productive for anyone, and the level of thin skinned behavior is in itself intolerable.

Out of interest where did you source the above - I assume you're referring to Muslim on Muslim sectarian killings in non Western countries, though would have though there would be more considering the killings by ISIS and Taliban.

The teacher's course focused on Charlie Hebdo terror attack, freedom of expression etc. It is entirely up to the civic education program to make students reflect and dialogue on this fact, especially with the ongoing trial.

The teacher's awkwardness was to have suggested that Muslim students go out if they felt offended. he did not have to do it, because there is no reason to isolate Muslim students, if this course is on the program, it is for all students. It was certainly an awkwardness, starting from a good intention, but ultimately discriminatory, since Muslim students were treated differently from others. Did he want to avoid an overflow by offering them to go out? we will probably never know.

in France it is not up to a religion to say what is tolerable or not, according to its susceptibility

What happened next, it was a raging student's parent who threw the teacher into public revenge through social networks, amplifying the rumor against this teacher, and we cannot deny that the student's father and those who tweeted against the teacher bear some responsibility for his death.
