Another glowing example of why we left, how many quangos did it take before that ruling?well done davey boy we,ll make a brexiteer of you yet,( that is if the eu don,t beat us to it.

Just admitting "Scotch whiskey "comes from Scotland.....any other one can not bear that "Scotch " in front ,surely not the English ...????....whiskey is  the type name for the drink....that name is free to use..."Pom's whiskey "can be used i would say ,by the English brewers ????

That is not difficult to understand and so on with many other local products with protected names ...same as emmenthaler  cheese is original from Switzerland ...but France has it too but call it Emm.french version ...even australia makes Emmentaler type cheese ....i buy him in Big C .....taste is same type but not real identical .

As long indication of food products is copied i have no problem with , as long indication is on the package from who ever made it so i know it is not the genuine one i can decide to buy or not .

BTW  brexiteers do not fear we should start copy Marmite .....????

There will be no downside to Brexit, only considerable upside. David Davis   The day after we vote to leave we hold all the cards and can choose the path we want. Michael Gove

  • Why should the EU negotiate with an ex-member, that voted to leave ? They should let Britain stand outside in the cold for twenty or twenty-five years. Then maybe let them back in, if they ask nicely.

  • I see 20 weak  countries  bailed  out by a  very few stronger  ones, how do you see that

43% of the vote is not big time.

Labour's share dropped by 7.8%, but the Tories share increased by only 1.2%.

Surely if what you say is true, the Tory share should have gone up by roughly the same amount as Labour's went down?

Have you any explanation as to why it didn't?

More slander from a Brexiteer; that my opinion of what is best  differs from yours does not mean I am not behind my country.

behind my country? You having a bubble?you,ve spent the last couple of years slagging it off and siding with the eu at every opportunity.

Once again you equate being anti Brexit with being anti Brit.

You really need to stop that. It helps no-one and just causes further division.

Try a different approach. Convince us all why Brexit is a good idea so we can all get behind it.

Fully aware that Brexit is happening.

I asked you to convince us all its a good idea so we can all get behind it.

Instead you went all David Icke.

1.  Did the Tory party end up with a huge number of seats in the House via the G.election to confirm get Brexit done......Yes or No.....?

2.  Did Corbyn's lefty lot fail to thrash the Tory Party to sort Brexit out itself....Yes or No....?

3.  Did the Lib Dems, who would have given YOU your EU, get humiliated......Yes or No...?

Now, no twisting, just simple yes or no....Bet you don't....????

I have heard that expression yes. I also know when to use it.

It appears you do not.

Then again, maybe he didn't have a clue about it's contents and signed it because Cummings told him it would win him the election and he could renege on it afterwards.

He obviously had good foresight, or better crystal balls than you have, knowing the EU would do everything they could to punish the UK, and not respect the essence / terms of the WA, thereby rendering it null and void with the predictable result of a no deal.

Nobody has to convince you of anything, it's not just an "idea" it's reality - IT HAPPENED!

About time you, and all the other remainers, get used to the idea, and get in step, on board, behind it, or whatever.... But for goodness sake, stop whining about something you cannot change, look for the positives and move on with your life.

If you have convinced yourself that Britain will be anything less than a great independent nation again, you're obviously deluding yourself with, what appears to be, a very depressing and unrealistic outlook.

Nobody is suggesting it will be a smooth ride, but neither will it be the disaster remainers make out. Change is a good thing and the challenges will be invigorating.

Oddball said it best in the Dirty Dozen - "what's with all these negative vibes". Sorry I've no idea how to attach the movie clip.

I must assume my post went right over your head.

I specifically asked to be convinced so I could get behind it.

Something Brexiteers seem unable or unwilling to do.

You are calling for Remainers to back Brexit but failing to bring an argument for why we should.

No it didn't.

I've no intention of trying to convince you of the FACT that is Brexit. If you can't see the positives, then there's no hope, and I have no inclination to extend this post with another 100 pages of inconsequential bickering.

If you don't want to get behind Brexit, then continue wallowing in your dark pit of self pitying negativity. Quite frankly, I couldn't give a toss whether you back Brexit or not, it's too late for that anyway, the referendum has been and gone, but you will surely have to live with it. So make your own mind up, get your head out from under the pillow or not - dam chai.

Therein lies the problem. Us Remainers cannot see the benefits of Brexit and you Brexiteers cannot list any either.

You are going to get giddy going round in circles with the same continuous questions from 5 years back. Time for you  and others to get behind your country, we have left the EU, again, we have left the EU......????

In a few years time we will all see how the UK's future has done, but folk like you will always see a problem.........????

I haven't claimed anything, it's you with your ant-British thoughts that are taking you round and round in circles, but hey, think we are used to that by now....????

Anyhoooo, off out to a party now, see you tomorrow.....????..................????

Have you not heard of the Covid 19 pandemic. EU is not in a good state either at this time. But, of course, in your prejudiced and depressing eyes, it will all be the fault of Brexit which, by the way, doesn't take full effect until 31/12/20.

Is it really so unreasonable to ask for some evidence - or at least, a coherent argument -  to support this theory that Brexit will deliver a future full of bright new tomorrows for the UK?

I tried the 'closing my eyes and wishing really hard for something' approach on the morning after the referendum. It didn't work then, and I don't hold out much hope that it will now.

1. Yes;  and I've never denied it. But they did so with just 43.6% of the vote. Don't forget, though, that Johnson now wants to tear up his WA upon which the Tories based their whole campaign!

2. Yes; Labour lost many seats with a fall in their share of the vote of 7.8%.

3.) No. Even though the LibDems lost one seat, they did increased their share of the vote by 4.2%, the largest increase of any party. Hardly a humiliation.

I've answered your questions; will you now answer mine?

Surely if what you say is true, the Tory share should have gone up by roughly the same amount as Labour's went down?

Have you any explanation as to why it didn't?

I suspect, though, that you will continue to ignore them. You demand answers from others, but refuse to give them yourself.

 Wrong.

It's 'Whiskey in the Jar.' A traditional Irish folk song.

Scotch whisky does not have the 'e;' even if distilled outside Scotland. Irish whiskey and all other whiskies do.
