And what about your promise to fight corruption? I doubt if you remember back this far, but when you and your clowns launched a coup, it was ostensibly to restore law and order, which you accomplished with draconian measures, and to get rid of the rot, and corruption in immigration, the police, customs, the government, and at the highest levels, which you never even made the slightest attempt to do. You substituted 10 foot alligators, with 14 foot crocodiles. And you have spent your entire six years protecting the elite, those in office, the army, the police, those who are connected, and the super wealthy. For God's sake, you could not even bring the Dark Tao killer to justice, nor the Red Bull creep. Again, busy protecting the wealthy with all of your power.

The real problem is, you will not go after any of these guys. Not the top bankers, not the high ranking guys, not the provincial authorities, and certainly not the army, or the police. They are all corrupt beyond imagination. And the level of corruption simply escalates, the further up the food chain you go. As far as most of us are concerned, everything is the same. The police and army are not expected to be honest, and they are not expected to engage in law enforcement, traffic or public safety, on any level. It is an irrevocably broken and dysfunctional system. Any hyperbole to the contrary, is just a smoke screen, intended to deceive the most naive amongst us.

Now, in this time of desperation, with your nation needing you more than ever before, where on earth are you? What have your proposed? Where are the solutions? There are at least a dozen good reasons why you should be removed from office.

WOW !!

Is Prayut saying there is no corruption now?

Then why is there so much corruption of agents using the backdoor to reach corrupted officers?

He borrowed it from a now dead friend, and needed to ensure it was worn in his honor.

Funny thing is, he will not go down in history remembered as a good ole guy who saved Thailand. He now will take this to his grave with the moniker of most hated. Ooops my apologies. One of the most hated and not revered, underhanded corrupted liars of all time. And this he cannot reverse. He will get his wishes though, and I do not think anyone would have the nards to make a statue and erect it of him.

But he has 2 Billion Baht....now he can say he has truly returned Happiness to the top, time to move on I am afraid......lots to see and buy with 2 Billion Baht, or just a little over 64 Million USD.

He's in good company with Phibun, Sarit & co. May they rot in hell.

You mean the dozen or so at US embassy?

No, there was a gathering of them at Lumphini as well. Looks like their numbers are growing.

Bin Bunluerit, the Thai star that does all that stuff for charity, has given up his philanthropic role to join them looks like.

Ah yes, found in twitter now. Looks like a  couple of hundred. Somebody might tell them it's a bit late to show support for IX though.

Isnt the issue how they got the majority. That was guaranteed prior to the election.

Is it a democratically obtained majority ???

It will take 2 more life times for Thailand to actually get a real democratic government,

and I am being very hopeful with that conservative figure of time.

In fact, corruption under your administration is just as bad as it always has been.

and the party’s “parliamentary dictatorship”, using their majority control of the parliament to push their political agenda.

When Taksin was in power , one of the complaints of the disenfranchised elite was that the rural buffaloes didn't understand democracy and only voted in their own interest.

Prayuths statement clearly demonstrates that it is Prayuth and his supporters who don't understand the way democracy works.

Now Prayut has been PM for over six years, or  longer than anyone else since the end of absolute Deleted in 1932, except for Thanom's 10 year stint (mainly as military dictator without a constitution but he staged a coup against his own government at one point when he got fed up with parliament) from 1963 to 1973 when he was overthrown by a student uprising.  It remains to be seen whether Prayut has the staying power to beat Thanom's record in office.
