Has he conveniently forgotten that the protests by the opposition, in other words his supporters, instigated the political instability in the early 2010s?

 

In fact it was his best buddy Suthep in 2013, who caused the chaos, and who openly and proudly admitted after the coup that he planned all this together with Prayut  from scratch on. 

 

Prayut obvioulsy is not only the most notorious liar of Thailand, he also has a very short memory himself.

Now, in this time of desperation, with your nation needing you more than ever before, where on earth are you? What have your proposed? Where are the solutions? There are at least a dozen good reasons why you should be removed from office.

cha cha is so out of touch or just evil.   These children see where their future lies, and they want to change it.   They want the military out of government.  Their parents and teachers do not have the intestinal fortitude that these young people have.  Think everyone knew this was going to happen one day.  A coup leader who prances around saying  hie is doing a great job.  Most older people are use to submitting authority figures.   These brave kids are a refreshing change.   I change what will not go away.

Indeed it was... not like packing 200 senators friends is it?  buying MP's?  giving jobs to opposition MPs in return for supporting an 'outside' unelected PM?  

Yingluck was the last legitimate elected PM - and would win again if ever there were fair elections - the last one who might have succeeded, young Thanathorn, they banned and are now seeking criminal charge!  what a farce

 

It will take 2 more life times for Thailand to actually get a real democratic government,

and I am being very hopeful with that conservative figure of time.

There is not much denying that corruption was rampant during the Yingluck Shinawatra administration -- not to mention the massive graft that also marred the preceding governments, namely those of her brother as well as the Shinawatra proxy governments of Samak Sundaravej and Somchai Wongsawat.

 

But... YOU, Mr. Prayuth, orchestrated a coup d'etat in May 2014, claiming it was necessary to STAMP OUT corruption. Yes, you even repeatedly PROMISED that this was one of your main goals.

 

And what DID happen during your almost 7 years of being sort of a self-proclaimed "savior of the country"? What DID you accomplish with regards to stamping out corruption? That's right. Nothing! In fact, corruption under your administration is just as bad as it always has been.

I asked the same question recently, and was told by one poster he inherited millions through his fathers land ownership, though I have to say, why would a son in a rich family like that be joining the army? Definitely something not right there.

When Taksin was in power , one of the complaints of the disenfranchised elite was that the rural buffaloes didn't understand democracy and only voted in their own interest.

His father also was an army guy. So we can ask the same question about him as well.

 

The Thai army is and always has been nothing but a Mafia-like institution whose main duty is to enrich its leaders on cost of the nation. They are no patriots, especially today, as they ruin the nation and sell it and its people to China right now, only to line up their own pockets. And they don't serve the nation. They rape it.

Now Prayut has been PM for over six years, or  longer than anyone else since the end of absolute Deleted in 1932, except for Thanom's 10 year stint (mainly as military dictator without a constitution but he staged a coup against his own government at one point when he got fed up with parliament) from 1963 to 1973 when he was overthrown by a student uprising.  It remains to be seen whether Prayut has the staying power to beat Thanom's record in office.

Bold words from a man who refuses to have his bank accounts audited nor those of his lackys and relatives nor any transparency to his government.
