Do you remember what you were doing 4 years ago right now?

Recommended Posts

I had not long been divorced and was in an hotel near the Chiang Mai moat. I was watching the US election on Fox- they didn't have CNN or BBC- and thinking that the pussy tapes had sunk Trump's chances.

So I can remember exactly what I was doing 4 years ago, and I'm doing the same thing tonight/ tomorrow- different time zone.

I had finished my repatriation process back to my home country after having lived in Thailand for 5 years non stop. Some friends threw me a welcome back party. Everybody quite sure that the US would have it's first female president. Ah well.......

BTW: Reasons for repatriating: I got the impression that conditions for "long-stay" in Thailand are getting more cumbersome instead of easier. AND: The Health-Insurance issue started to creep up on me. Came to the conclusion that Thailand is "no country for old Farangs".

Had a great plan: Visit Thailand frequently as a tourist. And then the Virus came......
Now I wonder what will come first. Thailand or the local cemetary.

I was in my hotel room in San Diego, went to sleep sure to have hrc as president, woke up with Mr Trump, Thank you Mr Trump.

I think I'll skip the sugar in my coffee today, more than enough saccharine on TV.

I understand Lacey, you now realise that Marmite  & Blitish beer is best.

You're early today, trying to drag me off topic. Maybe, if I get my taste buds removed.

4 years ago, my guess is you were doing exactly what you are doing now. Agent provocateur.

Saw the election results and called my daughter. I was extremely surprised that hrc had lost. My daughter was in shock and tears. That was when I learned she was a snowflake and really knew little about how the US government works (even though she was an honors student raised in Texas [1-8 grade] and Illinois [high school & college]).  Then I was sad...

Thanks Mr Trump......(sent from the out of control dumpster fire)    national guard on standby-WH locked down

Shaking my head at the US election. The 5th President of the USA not elected by the popular vote of the citizens. This one a disaster to the hopes and promise of the founders that the citizens are capable of governing themselves. I look to the democratic socialist countries of Scandinavia to present a more sustainable model of democracy.

The Scandinavian model, is only possible if the people want it! And I must say, I have been lucky to grow up there and nowhere else!
