You've got me there!

As already said, in the 1970s the member states of the then EC agreed to establish a mutual EEZ.

In case you haven't noticed, it is fishing rights which are under negotiation. I don't recall any disputes between us and the EU over any of the other activities; unless you know different.

Still missing the point. Oh well, never mind. The UK will be free of the CFP and that changes everything. What do you think the fuss is all about?

From your link.

"As part of this vision, the UK and Iceland recognise the need to promote responsible fisheries to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of marine resources, and endeavour to use a science-based approach to fisheries and aquaculture management in order to minimise the impacts on the marine environment."

Does it mention anything about fishing in each others waters? Its about imposing quotas. Nothing there to see.

I was born and raised in a fishing community and remember well both cod wars. Iceland will give us nothing, zilch, nada.

The ol' 'my Dads a fisherman' is no indication that you can swim...

Which was decried as "project fear" and Boris Cummings doubled down that we would.

It is what it is now, not 5 years ago, the remainers had their chance, you vote for nothing and you get nothing.
