Refused at the checkout. I've never been so angry.

Then did this again as I looked at her.

I've never been so angry.

Maybe she didn't like your eggs?

People here are different and losing your temper isn't in your favor at all.

Maybe she had her own reason for sending you to the long line?

 Calm down, Jai Jenn Jenn.

This is brilliant....

Surely you were looking around for the hidden camera ???????

the best response would have been to take 9 eggs out of the box, place them next to the milk and tell her you don’t want the rest !!!

My thoughts as well, however she would have scanned it, and demanded payment for 24 eggs,,, ???? ???? ???? ???? ????????????????????

Great joke, but i see some people are taking this seriously.

Yes sounds like another wind up.

I am fairly sure they don’t sell eggs in boxes of 24 in Thailand. If he posts a photo of the box, I will stand corrected and apologize.

If he has never been so angry in his life over this incident then he has a very blessed life.

You should have done what the Muslim families do in our local big C.

They just send 10 items with every kid and grandparent in rotation.

predictably a light, humorous post brings out a TV bigot expressing a racist ethnic trope.

I think this a very funny post.

Firstly the woman actually doing it,(strange btu interesting psychopathology)  but secondly you getting angry about it. That is just too funny. You live in SE Asia, there is distinctly different understanding here of "logic" and application.

Why get angry, you got eggs, got your milk, and hopefully your omelet which you enjoyed.

Why experience anger??( energy draining)  Smile  ????

P ss d off I get, angry, why?

I am missing the end to this tale.

I went to the next checkout that was staffed by the manager.

He was nice.

He looked a little apologetic.

He said 'She from jail before'.

Then motioned with his hand and whispered 'knife knife'.

Today I went to an unnamed supermarket to buy some eggs and milk.

Because I wanted to make an omelet.

I like omelets.

I went to the checkout with a 2 liter of milk and 24 box of eggs.

The cashier pointed at the 10 items only sign, then pointed for me to go to another checkout that had a long queue.

I pointed that I only have 2 items. A bottle of milk and a box of eggs. She loudly counted each egg and the bottle of the milk and shouted that I have 25 items, then pointed to go to the checkout with the big queue.

Then did this again as I looked at her.

I've never been so angry.

I understand the current vernacular in this situation is 'OMGeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' in a strained nasal whine. Do you need counselling or will a man-hug from a man-bunner suffice?

If this is the biggest hurdle in your life words fail me.

At that point,  you wait for her to call the manager to explain to her that " items" are represented by the amount of scanning tags and not the amount of the packaged contents .

At this point ,you can go back to the store, speak to the manager first for approval and then  go to her checkout line with the same items.

Hindsight  , you could have separated the amount of eggs up to the ten items and forced her to enforce her own rule and scan each egg or type in a scan code for each egg.

She probably worked in a rural store before that sold loose eggs and thought she was bringing her valuable work experience to the job.  ......

Always best to wait for a manager.  It's the 99% solution to most problems like this .........
