Correction, I did have the buffet at a local Chinese takeaway because they had a birthday discount- $6 reduction. Have to wait for next birthday for the next one.

You have my sympathy if life is that tough for you.

Thank you, but un necessary. I was always saving for my next Thailand trip so I never went to any of those places anyway. The only difference now is that I'm not planning any overseas trips any more, so I can live as I always have, even on a pension. Just insurance was expensive for oldies, not even considering costs of obtaining a visa, flights, travel to from airport, etc, and because I was on holiday I always spent money on things I wouldn't at home.
