Thai media Siam Rath said that in January 2021 Prajuab Khiri Khan (that includes Hua Hin) would be quarantining tourists in January 2021 according to government protocols.

Dr Suriya Khuharat of the provincial health authority was outlining what needed to be done to receive foreign tourists at quarantine facilities in the province and was speaking at Hua Hin Hospital with hoteliers, condo owners, resort owners and restaurateurs.

In a report that presented very little that was new,  the doctor spoke of the need for cleanliness and safety and following all the health department regulations to the letter.

This included a deep clean before opening, regular cleaning, temperature checks, making sure there was plenty of hand gel and that tourists downloaded tracing apps and social distancing was followed.

Siam Rath said that the doctor was "revealing" these things.

All of the matters he 'revealed' have become almost universally understood by the great majority of people on earth, notes Thaivisa.

However, Thailand isn't interested in being influenced by the majority of the people on earth, unless it benefits them.

To quote someone in 2003 who said, "The UN is not my father."

Lol, nothing's going to happen, even if it does then it won't be noticeable in any way.

They just don’t ever get it !! No actual tourist is going to pay a load of money to spend two weeks in quarantine , then have a two week holiday before going home to quarantine again ! Utterly deluded !!

Just waiting for that porous border to be overrun with Thai women returning from Myanmar and infecting the new tourists...yes sarcasm

It's their 'congressional right.'

  • 4 weeks later...

There are new, more infectious, variants circulating the globe. Due to mass travel over Xmas/NY breaks there will be enormous surges in cases around the world in January.  Thailand is quite possibly on the brink of a serious 2nd wave that may still result in provincial lockdowns...And all these clowns can think about is getting tourists back in and getting their hands on tourists' money.
