What do you call this computer port?

Featured Replies

I have an ACER laptop/tablet. It has a USB C port and a port called HDMI (I think).

It's not a HDMI port as the cables don't fit. It's not a HDMI mini port as the cables don't fit and it's not a USB C type port.

If I wanted to order a cable to fit in that port what should I order?

The cable I just ordered and received in the photo is a HDMI to HDMI mini cable.

I may be thick but a name of a cable that would fit would be appreciated.

Soooo could there be a HDMI, HDMI mini and HDMI micro? Christ!.

Is the mini hdmi still to big? If so, it's probably a micro HDMI.

If it has the label HDMI next to it, I would assume it is a HDMI port of some kind. Maybe I am thick, but in the OP's shoes I would RTFM.

ACER don't produce manuals....wouldnt trust them anyway. If they did have one in English, they're send you one in French.

Yes, there are three types of HDMI ports, and you have named them all! It's hard to tell from pictures which size yours is, but assuming you can't use the mini, then it must be the micro size. It would be easier if you posted the model name of your Acer 2in1. (ACER aspire, ACER SPIN etc.)

I don't think your is a USB 3.0 port because I can't see the tell tale blue bit at the top. See the USB 3.0 pic on my laptop.

Most computer products I see have a manual available online, if there is not a hard copy.
