I have just realised I'm going to be 20 days late for my 90 day if I go into Nonthaburi on Monday.

Has anyone any experience of this during 2020 / Covid? Should I expect a fine, or a slap on the wrist? Or should I leave it until I need to travel abroad?

Cheers, y'all.

You will be fined 2000 baht for late reporting unless they give you a break since 90 day reports were not required until after October 31st.

Yes - standard fine is usually 2000 baht. It happened to me last year (also at Nonthaburi) - I was so annoyed with myself for forgetting and needlessly having to part with money but taught me a lesson. Now I put a reminder into my phone so I do not repeat this as it is very easily done! If I recall - I was told to pay 2000 Baht but actually only paid 1000 Baht if I was prepared to 'not take a receipt' - I'm not proud - but I took the offer.

Same happened to me a few years ago i was 2 weeks late, but i had brought a new phone and forgot to put it in, at the time we had, had floods, i was very apologetic, handed over 2,000bt, told them my phone had got damaged in the floods, they gave me my PP back AND a 1,000bht don't think i got a receipt. But now i have a calendar with lurches face cut off???? stuck to the wall and mark it with an  !  when its due, new free calendar from bank duly prepared to stick to wall with double sided tape, I don't trust the phone anymore.

Happened to me this year....mix up on dates as I renewed my yearly Visa close to the time----I was 30 days out---got a slap on the wrist---I was so surprised I donated 500 baht to their welfare fund.....But up in Issan it might be a little more relaxed than BKK.

Like a real man, I sent my wife to fight my battle, while I sat meekly behind her. ????

I am in total 2,000B out of pocket, but my wife earned her 1,000B commission. I don't remember seeing a receipt.

Note to self....'don't do this again'

If doing by post, do you send to Chaengwattana or MTT?

Yes, I know about online reporting and usually go that route, but in case my PC gives up the ghost!!

You use the address for Chaeng Wattana.

Thanks Joe. Are you sure CW will accept it even though 90 days counter has moved to MTT?

After it is delivered to CW and they send them to MTT to be processed. Many others have mailed them to CW since the day MTT opened.

If you use an Android phone (possibly will also work with iPhone) then the Google Calendar App is reliable and can also be configured to send reminders by email at any number of days in advance. So long as you set-up any new phone with same Google account then your reminders will still apply and be sent reliably.
