So, what you are disputing is that the sex trade, like other red light areas in the world, attracts undesirables.

History shows these areas attract drug users and criminals.  You don't seem to think so.

History also shows it attracts totally normal people just wanting a bit of strange.

Are you an 'undesirable' coz you admit to moving and knowing about the sex trade in Pattaya? or are you normal?

I'm not disputing the fact Pattaya has a huge sex trade.....duh.

One could argue it is bigger in Bangkok? Just that Pattaya caters to foreigners.

Some may view "strange" as undesirable.  ????

True, and what it "offers" tends to attract undesirables.

What sex and booze.... not sure that includes any higher number of undesirables than any other group, like say politicians.

The same as would happen to locals....

And there are many more of them.

Partying, drinking, loud music, the works......

Red Light areas do tend to attract corrupt police and politician as well.

There's a curfew for them.  I think 10pm to 5am...or so...

Curfew? For a shop?

We know already that you get it wrong 99% of the time you post something, so make that 100% now

Limitations:

  • 24-hour convenience stores must close from 10pm to 5am.

The Thais should have known better.

By being noisy, they forced the police to do something.

If they were discreet, even if the police knew they were there, they could have ignored it.

But the obviousness of the party made it so that they couldn't let it go.

A Thai explained it to me once, "No give headache for them, no problem for me"

Like the drinking beer out of a coffee mug. The cops know what is in the cups, but they aren't being forced to take action cos it is discreet enough. But if you make it obvious, well they gotta maintain order.

It has always been thus and always thus shall be.

That sounds like a bit too much, but anything is possible and they should have more sense than to risk so much.

There's no sense for an expat doing this........
