WIll we have to pay for the Mor Chana app?

Featured Replies

As recently posted on Facebook by the official Thai government page they are generously offering the app free for 3 months for the privilege of being tracked and sent to quarantine when near a Covid infection site, but soon we'll have to pay for an app many don't want in the first place?

No, the internet data use is free for 3 months, same as reduced water bills, electric bills, you will not be paying for the app now or in the future.

Could be a communication/translation issue?

Think they are referring to the "free mobile data" issue?

This app is a data and battery hog, people were burning through their data allotment so the authorities forced mobile providers to provide free data for this app, which may have an initial period of 3 months.

Just my guess.

The authorities are pushing this app very hard. They want to get to 40m ASAP.

Ah a careful reading of that text does say that. Somewhat of a relief.
