  • Crackdowns crack me up, should last about 5 1/2 days then they'll get bored and choked up on the fumes and retire to their air conditioned comfort!

  • Total waste of time if no-one enforces it.  There are so many great idea laws in Thailand and Thailand has one of the largest per capita police forces.  However, somehow none of these laws are enforce

  • Blimey, that will be a nice little earner up my way, they can do the no crash hat, kids riding motorbikes, no lights on bikes and cars too whilst they're at it...

right : it will be another disobedience from the rich farmers in the north and february-april, Chiang mai will become the most pollued city in the world. The government cannot arrest all sugarcane farmers !!!

All they need to do is ban the processing of burnt sugar cane and fine the factories

Right: there is a decree from 3 years ago : that year there were maybe 5% less fires !

do you know how farmers are stubborn? even you show them a new system very interesting : they look at you , smile (a lot) , nod their heads , say: kop kun khrap ...and come back to their old process. In this case , it's so easy to put a little matches and the field is "clean" in 4-5hours.

The governors in north are opposite to government , so , they dont want to press their electorate to obey to this decree...summary of the story: too much freedom in this country and too many checks and balances
