Cloudflare is the problem

Every time I get the 522 errors I try to open another site that uses the Bangkok Cloudflare server, and they're also getting 522 errors.  But Cloudflare insists their server is working, it's just all the sites that use it have the same errors at the same time.  What a coincidence. ????

Hmm, I am not seeing the issue. A week or 2 ago, TVF was down for a couple of days partially/completely, but after that I haven't had any issues with it.

2 fiber links, one from AIS, another from True. Gigabit both of them, no VPN of any kind, using Firefox on MacOS Catalina, if that makes any difference.

Like CharlieH above, I'm on TOT fiber, and the 522s were constant.  As was the other site that uses Cloudfare.  Trying his advice, I'm on a vpn server in Australia now, and no problems with either site.

This problem is easily explained. First there is a big mistake from CloudFlare, who have allowed to many websites on one single server with not enough capacity.

Second, CloudFlare is IP-location sensitive and set to deny too heavy traffic from one single region. So, that means if all of us are visiting ThaiVisa Forum on Thai IP, cloudFlare will have to lock down the capacity, so other regions will not lose their traffic availability. Out of that reason some of us also get different results surfing from different countries on IP from a VPN. One says Australia works good, while another will say UK or DK works good. After that it might be much traffic to the CloudFlare server from DK located IP´s, which make that capacity fully used and make it hard to reach TVF from a DK IP or whatever location that starts to use too much bandwith.

Unfortunately a problem that´s never going to be solved, as long as CloudFlare deny responsibility. The ony way to fix the problem is that they divide the heavy traffic website to different servers with the capacity for it, or they upgrade the power and capacity of the existing server.

Tak!! Finally someone explains to me in  simple terms so I understand.  i know nothing of IT, but you explained so even a man like me may understand. Big thank you.

I use True Internet and do not have a problem with getting the 522 error. Even using data on my table with data I can connect without a problem using TrueMove.

Most people having problems are using TOT. The 522 error is caused by a delay connecting to the server (Amazon in Singapore).
