Manager reported on the latest online drama in Thailand - the eating of uncooked chicken or "chicken sashimi".

A post from a Chiang Mai restaurant said it was "toriwasa" and was popular in Japan calling it "medium rare" chicken breast.

Drama-Addict warned Thais to avoid eating uncooked chicken breast in Thailand.

They said even in Japan, where there are specialist farms and varieties supplying the meat, there have been many cases of salmonella.

Online information suggests that in Japan the health authorities had advised against consuming undercooked chicken.

It needed to be heated to an internal temperature of 75 degrees C.

Seared chicken is referred to as "toriwasa" while chicken that is not cooked at all is known as "torisashi".

What a stupid idea.

I hope the authorities will close that place and never let it open again.

Would that be salmonella flavored?
