alykev8892 Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 I have a delicate problem I need to stop sitting on and to address soon. Has anyone here had any experience with the Banglumung government hospital regarding minor surgical procedures? I was treated for a kidney stone early this year and could not believe how cheap it was .... less than 300 baht for lab work, medicine, injection, and doctor. So I was considering maybe going there for my one delicate problem. Just wondering if anyone else ever used that hospital fro anything such as my problem and their experience. Am afraid to try the private hospitals for fear of the final bill.
Davidcharles Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 I have had 'Farmers' for 25yrs. They flare up from time to time and are very painful for a day or two. Mine have been Injected - Useless......Banded.....reasonably successful but not very comfortable while the bands are in place.....and they have still come back. Surgery is, I am told, very painful afterwards, and there's no a guarantee that they will not recur. It's essential that you do not allow yourself to get constipated. That is bound to cause problems Analwise! While I was in LOS recently, I got some very good ointment, BACTROBAN. It's the best one I have ever used. Try it.
astral Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 I would not trust the quality of care in the Public Sector. Even the private hospitals need watching!! Go and see the surgeon at the Bangkok Pattaya hospital, yes I know they are not the cheapest, and ask for an estimate for the surgery- they may even do a fixed price deal. I have not had surgery in that area myself yet, but both my parents did. Painful at the time, but did cure the problem for them. Modern techniques like cauterising, make it less painful than the old cut and stitch. Don't sit on the problem for too long. Sorry, could not resist that one.
