BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand is maintaining its economic growth target of 4% this year, supported by fiscal measures as well as authorities' containment of a new coronavirus outbreak and vaccine distribution plans, a deputy prime minister said on Thursday.

Thais with high savings are urged to help the country by spending more at time when tourism is sluggish, Deputy Prime Minister Supattanapong Punmeechaow told a business seminar.

On Wednesday, however, the central bank trimmed its 2021 GDP forecast to 3.0% growth from 3.2%.

So unexperienced Generals predicting above what the people in the field of financial experience predict ............and continually move down away from 4% ?

I got a 3....do I hear 4?  OK now we have 4.  How about 5?...anyone 5?  What about 4-1/2?....can we get 4-1/2?....4 going once...4 going twice....4 wins!

Just wait until January 2022, it will be easier to get the number right.  Until then, nothing changes whether their guess is +4% or -4%.
