Similar disasters happen in the USA, California, Portugal, Spain and many other places and with a variety of causes which include the timber mafia to terrorist arson from carelessness  to mischief. Thailand is not alone regarding this sad calamity.

Similar disasters do happen in the USA, California, Portugal, Spain, but not nearly on this scale. The north of Thailand suffers from abysmal air quality for months on end, every single year. It’s nowhere near as bad as that in the USA, California, Portugal and Spain.

The headline is about a 'Sea of Fire' a terrible dramatic disaster. The headline is not about daily air quality issues. I suspect California has worst forest fires and they are one of the wealthiest places  in the world. And Europe too as I mentioned.
