Hi, I have heard from a few French people who have used Visa agencies to arrange the COE,  insurance, visa applications and all needed for a rapid and easy result. Obviously you choose your own ASQ hotel and flight preferences. I don’t know if this is correct or what it costs. Any thoughts welcome. ps, do not have scanner at home.

Scanners very cheap to buy.

I don't know what an agency will do for you. Everything that you need to send to the Embassy. you will have to send to the agency anyway. , and they will sent it to the Embassy

It is a straight forward process, Read the requirements on the Embassy's website, send them what they want. If you miss something they will tell to send it.  Follow their steps, and you are good to go,

Not sure what an agent can do for you that you cannot do yourself.

I would imagine the answer is nothing, except ...

  • The agent should already know the cheapest acceptable insurance for someone in France. This can save a lot of time researching options.
  • The agent may be able to just tell you where to get the required PCR Covid test.
  • The agent may know the latest quarantine rules, which is difficult to research.

Whether this is worth the agent fee is debatable, but I have a feeling I might be willing to spend 200 euros to an agent who was recommended, just for the peace of mind and time saving.

Opening a thread on the Forum for each of the subjects you need information on, would probably provide better/more accurate information than what an Agent will tell you (I have seen many totally incorrect Agent responses even on simple issues).  Forum members like UbonJoe, Tanoshi, BritTim, and others are a far better and more reliable source of info than Visa Agents.

Tips when addressing your query on the Forum:

- Address only ONE issue in the thread you open, as multiple issues will lead to confusion in responses with some not answered

- Clearly address the data of relevance as that will affect the options you have in will avoid responses with unnecessary info.   So DO mention your age, nationality, whether married to a Thai national or with Thai dependent children, type of Visa preference, whether receiving income/pension and approx amount, envisioned travel-itinerary, period you want to stay in Thailand, etc...

- Research already the current ThaiVisa posts on the issues you seek information on. But be aware that the ThaiVisa search-engine is useless, but when you using GOOGLE with the correct search-terms you can probably find already most of what you need to know.  Search-term needs to include "forum.thaivisa" followed by terms like Paris Thai Embassy, CoE, 2020, 2021, etc.

Note: I am certain that I can provide you with best insurance options for French nationals, but in absence of any info on your situation (see point #2) am not able to provide you with the case-specific info you are looking for.
