A cheap amulet from a temple (Wat Chedi) in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
Along a list of gifts that YOU could give for children?

To me it looks like a begging letter.

And you are sure 3BB (internet provider) has sent this (via postal mail?).

The amulet and leaflets are from:

"Wat Chedi Ai Khai", 36/1 Chalong, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat 80120.

A "chicken" temple, hundreds or thousands of small chicken statues aside from the big ones. Seems a popular spot?

Actually, it was sent Registered Post.

The clue that it was from 3BB was that the address to me on the red plastic envelope had an account number "ACC.1234567890" after my name. It took me a while to remember that that number was my 3BB account number.

I just used my phone to Google translate a sticker at the top left of the envelope:

Triple T Internet Company Limited

Jasmine Building 10th floor 200 moo 4

Chaengwattana Road Pakkred Subdistrict Pak Ret district

Nonthaburi 11120

Must be a 10th anniversary gift.

I'll treasure it forever.

It's a popular amulet of the figure 'Ai Khai', a figure of a temple boy said to have mystical powers, the attached cards are instructions on how to make offering/worship him

Give it to your handyman/gardener or the local motocyc tough guys, they'll appreciate it or can trade it with those that do for favor

I'd be more concerned with the fact that the internet company is wasting money with these trinkets that is no way appreciated by all like this as for most typical buddhist thai, a figure like this is too 'dark magic' for their taste and has nothing to do with buddhism

Too late. It's hanging in my pickup next to a few other trinkets. But thanks for the info - more Googling and learning for me...

Interesting: Google: "Ai Khai Rising: Cult of prankster ghost boy explodes in pandemic Thailand"

You mean it's hanging in your wife's pickup.

Back on topic, are you (or your wife) typically a cult follower?

Their amulet always sold out during their pre-ordered. If i am not wrong this amulet cost around 50baht but their resell value is around 5-10x if you sell to some Thais whom believed in all this.

These aren't the actual amulet even, just a picture of the amulet rolled up in plastic tube

Unlike mainstream buddha amulets that are actual antique or are made by well known temples, most of these animist things are popular for only a few years until the crowds move on to the next big thing last decade there was 'Jatukam' oreo shaped medallions that people like to hang around their neck.

The value seems ot be purely speculation like tulips craze or bitcoin

Not married or a cult follower, unless Trump is a cult leader.  ????
