I looked thinking it would be a discussion subforum, but if I can't discuss why would I even bother?

Look at it as a "Magazine" type area with items of interest for expats. Not the typical discussion forums, although as Joe stated , some you can comment on.

I have  just looked at this section( Luckily I must have missed its auspicious opening notification) I think its being very kind to describe it as a 'interesting" expat magazine area

However I am sure regardless of being able to comment or not it will be a raging success????????

I don't think I ever visited the Expat explore subforum but now that you mentioned it I had a quick look at  the the various locked topics there. If anything in these locked topics interested me and if I wanted additional information, I would write to the email address given at the end of the OP.

 

If I wanted the opinions of other members on a holiday destination mentioned in one of these locked topics, I would start my own new topic about it either in the Thailand Explore forum or more likely in the Travel Thailand Forum, where I would expect to get a better response.
