Covid testing at Government hospitals only?

Featured Replies

Following up on a shared comment from a friend where a popular Bangkok clinic were quoting 3 weeks wait-list for Covid-19 testing, the Bangkok Hospital in Udon Thani has stopped doing tests and are now referring all those requesting one to go to the local Government hospital.

Either a shortage of test kits ahead of this surge or maybe better 'control' as I understand that the policy is now for anyone testing positive for Covid infection to be admitted to hospital immediately.

It would be interesting to know if any other members seeking tests, be it for overseas travel or work or otherwise, have been funneled to their local Government hospitals.

I think they play game. Covid patients are for them not profitable, obstructing making money from all other patients.

There are also info that tests in private hospitals are not reliable. Possible this info is spread by hospitals by themselves as an excuse not to take patients
