hi,

Is it true ? Car battery volt still above 12v but 211CCA only can make problems to start the car ? Volt is not the only parameter to consider to change battery ?

So it's possible that a car need to change battery even if volts are still ok ?

https://www.autobatteries.com/en-us/how-to-choose-your-car-battery-replacement/battery-cold-cranking-amps-cca

but how to know what is the CCA of a brand new battery ?

Thanks.

Once you start having start problems if all other components are working properly then a battery may need replacing if only reading above 12 v it really needs to read 13v or above in most vehicles.

Ask for a Heavy duty GS battery or a heavy duty type of your choice of make.

The CCA rating should be found on the data plate.

In general the rating applies to the maximum current the battery will deliver in 30 seconds, although in hot countries time will vary. If your engine has starting problems a high CCA rated battery will last longer in trying to start your engine before it dies.

However if your starting problems are because of a battery issue then CCA rating won't make much difference.
