Moving 100kg of books/clothes to Canada

Featured Replies

Hope this is right forum for this.

I’m looking for a company that can move about 100kg of books and clothes to Canada. Need them to properly box and label items (no commercial value). Door to door from Bangkok to Vancouver. Shipping by sea.

The companies I’m finding either do minimum 400kg or do much smaller parcels like FedEx which is expensive.

Any comment or suggestion appreciated. Thanks! ????

Use regular Thai post surface mail. Parcel them into a few packages depending on max wt. allowed. I would guess around 10k b. for the lot. Will take ages though if you care.

Unfortunately Thai Post have suspended their SAL service during the pandemic.  Not sure why though.  It was an efficient surface as international destinations were sent airmail.  It was far cheaper than regular airmail.  Maybe you should check if SAL has been reinstated.

Some of the airlines allow you 46 kg...

Thanks all for your suggestions. We’re looking at DHL to keep it simple. More expensive but less hassle. They have a service center  in the Rama III area (there’s one on the skywalk at Chidlom but don’t like it’s so small and have to park at Amarin).
