Do you think the Thais victimise us Colin?

It didn't make the Thai news. Only reported in the local English speaking Farang owned local rag and on this forum which both appeal to farangs and are making a fuss over it.

With the English fellas getting drunk with ladyboys, and perhaps not realising we can look at it as "Englishmen saved by Phuket police from a night of buggery and embarassment. Shame and Pain"

Can you point out to us all where it states that they were English?

Well if people want to abuse the rules ie drinking alcohol

Outside

How long has this rule been out for and people still don't get the message i have no sympathy for them

So they and others and there will be  more incidents of alcohol use

will suffer the consequences ????

Saw they group many evenings, sometimes smaller, sometimers bigger. They just had some fun and were enjoying themselves. The Tuk Tuk was the juke box with terrible choice of music. They have just been too evident for the now always patrolling blood suckers in brown. Hope they all get away with a reasonable fine.

Same day a large group of several Thai families had a real pick nick party with all you can immagine incl. booze on Rawai beach. Nobody cared, which is good. However, 2 different treatments again.

I was in Phuket once, I enjoyed it, but I will never go back again, at least until those in office have been replaced with more democratic leaders

These things are no longer tolerable the common sense is dead

It depends on where you stay in Phuket, I imagine everybody gets tired of Patong like i did, in the south around Rawai and Nai Harn is great we are surrounded by the ocean,

Just in Patong, and as I repeat I had a great time. They want tourists, but someone from abroad who reads  news like this, would like to go to Phuket? I really don't think so, indeed he will stay away

Probably no reason to differentiate between foreign and local alcohol either. Same as the nationality of the people, what difference does it make?

They probably did it in the belief that foreigners drank foreign beer and Thais drank Thai beer and whisky.

I agree though, absolutely no need to differentiate between the alcohol.

And what be will the measures after July 1st? And in any case those who aim to go to Phuket for that date must book now, he certainly won't wait until July 1st to find out how things are

Since entry requirements are not known yet they can't book now. Will probably be in a few weeks time, so embassies/consulates can make sure visa applications are processed according to the rules. Your post just reinforces the post reacted to: "Some people can make the distinction between measures now and entry after JUly 1st."

Re-enactment, finger pointing and then it is off to the slammer, throw away the keys as the dirty farang may stay locked up for 141'731 years (that was indeed the longest jail sentence handed down by a local court - on a Thai citizen though).
